As I start packing my bags and planning the final details, the excitement is building for my upcoming trip to New Orleans and a road trip through Mississippi and Alabama. These three states will bring me even closer to achieving my goal of visiting all 50!
What started as a lighthearted joke with my mother—visiting all 50 states by the time I turned 50—turned into a real goal. Life, of course, had its own plans, and while I didn't hit the original milestone, I'm still determined to reach all 50. Now, with a new timeline of "50 by 55," I'm closer than ever.
This upcoming trip brings me within one state of completing my journey. It's been a road full of detours, unexpected adventures, and incredible memories, but each stop has been worth it. And as soon as I return home, I'll start planning for the grand finale—the trip that will take me to state #50.
