The Festival of Books and Creativity

As an author, there's always something exciting happening. From solo events, community craft shows or meet the author events with a room full of authors. But every once in a while, an event comes along that feels like something truly special. The Festival of Books and Creativity is just that kind of event.

This isn't your typical author gathering. Yes, there will be books - stories for children, stories that spark conversations, tales that comfort and ones that challenge us to grow. You'll meet authors who have poured their hearts into their work, eager to connect with new readers and greet familiar faces. But this festival goes beyond that.

The Festival of Books and Creativity celebrates what happens because of books.

It's about the art inspired by a beloved story. It's about the drawings tucked between the pages of a child's favorite bedtime read. It's about the crafts, the conversations, the characters, the creativity that springs to life after a story is shared. Whether it's a reader who started painting because of a poem or a family who built a backyard fairy garden after reading a magical chapter book together, this event is a tribute to the ripple effect of reading.

There will be interactive experiences, hands-on stations, storytelling corners, and places where imagination is encouraged to run wild. It's a celebration of how books don't just sit on shelves—they move, they build, they create.

For me, it's a chance to not only share Annie's stories but to watch how she inspires others—kids drawing porcupines with superhero capes, making carrot cake milkshakes at home, or writing their own stories about friendship and family.

Whether you're a lifelong reader, a aspiring author, or someone looking for a little creative spark, this festival has something for you.

So bring your stories. Bring your imagination. And get ready to be inspired.
